OH BOISE, HERE WE GO AGAIN! Tough Questions Coming in 3,2,1.

A comeback victory in the closing minutes against Virginia Tech in what might has well have been Lane Stadium has put Boise State in rare air for sure.  The 33-30 win gives 3rd ranked Boise State the upper hand on any other team who dares to call themselves a "Cinderella."
Wait... did I say Cinderella?  Not a chance.  These guys are good and everyone knew it.  But here comes the hype for the BCS National Championship game already.  Fair?  Not really... but folks, its coming and its going to be all the rage this week.  And it only took one week!  One week.. and here we go with the talk about a team that should. or shouldn't be considered for the National Title because of their conference (WAC) or their schedule.. which looks like this.

Sep. 6 at Virginia Tech
Sep. 18 at Wyoming
Sep. 25 Oregon State
Oct. 2 at New Mexico St.
Oct. 9 Toledo
Oct. 16 at San Jose St.
Oct. 26 Louisiana Tech
Nov. 6 Hawaii
Nov. 12 at Idaho
Nov. 19 Fresno State
Nov. 26 at Nevada
Dec. 4 Utah State

"Moore" Tough Questions
Kellen Moore is being delivered to us for the Heisman Trophy already.  He did nothing to send us looking in another direction.  His touchdown pass to decide the game was huge.  He showed great poise and played like a Heisman hopeful.   And guess what it gets him?  About 400,000 questions about the Heisman trophy over the next 10 weeks.  Starting... 3...2...1....... NOW.
Coach Chris Peterson said after the big win.  "It's game one, that's all it is."  Yeah, right.  And see how long that answer lasts in the need to satisfy the masses.  Questions about how much the 1 big game can mean for the rest of the season coming in .... 3...2...1...NOW.
And the rest of the questions the Broncos will be hearing?

1. Do you deserve to be number 1?
2. Does the WAC qualify as a BCS worthy conference?
3. Should you be considered for the BCS National Title game?
4. If you don't make it to BCS National Title game is the season a disappointment

Insert your own... go ahead... send your comments my way. (There's a comments section on this blog)  Boise State has won 7 of the last 8 WAC tiltes and  has been ranked in the top 25 every week since October 1, 2008.  Five of the 8 current WAC members have never beaten Boise State in conference play.
It seems like a cake-walk to an unbeaten season - though Oregon State might have something to say about it... and Wyoming is no slouch under 2nd year coach Dave Christensen.  A
As a guy who spends part of his professional time watching and conducting interviews.. and running a company HTK MEDIA which focuses on sports media training... I realize that wild horses won't pull the real answers out of these Broncos.  But I guarantee the media will try... and try hard.  THIS will be Boise State's toughest year EVER in college football.  All because they scheduled a road game at highly ranked Virginia Tech to start the season... and then won.
Good luck.. with the season.. and the questions.  Cliches and canned answers coming in 3....2....1...............
