"PLAYERS" Trouble at PGA TOUR? Slow Down.

Passing on PLAYERS

So have you heard the latest on the PGA TOUR front? Rory McIlroy joins Lee Westwood in taking a "pass" on the Players when May rolls around.  All this .... to which the red-faced PGA TOUR Commissioner says "you're always welcome... we'd love to have you back."
First, I'm not saying that he is... or that he will.  But I'm of the firm belief that Tim Finchem should not go begging.
After watching American Gary Woodland... the long hitting former college basketball player ... go up against the big, scrappy, smiley, Venezuelan named Jhonattan Vegas at the Bob Hope Classic... I'm more convinced than ever that stars are out there and ready to be born - if - you provide the stage.

While guys like Rory and Lee and Martin (Kaymer) are certainly more "visible" .... why not the novel idea of dedicating more energy to those truly dedicated to your tour - in this case the U.S. PGA TOUR.  And make them more viable!
Nothing against any of those three... who have done great things here in the United States... and been good with fans and the media for sure.
Dynamic Winner - Jhonattan Vegas
But here's your chance Mr. Commissioner...two spots open... so now find somebody who really wants one.  Find a guy who'll play 30 weeks without hesitation.  And while you're in full search mode... find me another Johnny Vegas!
As always... I'm interested in YOUR thoughts.
