GOLF: Tiger's Groundhog Day - What's Next?

No Shadow Today
Each and every year... Groundhog Day comes upon us.  "Punxsutawney Phil" rolls out of bed and we drag him from his hole and make him look for his shadow.  Today, the annual ritual continued.  "Punx" came out .. and he looked... but didn't see one.  Good news for snow-stricken and winter-sickened citizens around the country.
Spring is Near
As it parallels golf, last week Tiger Woods, too, was nudged from his hole and came out looking for a shadow of his former self.  You know.. the dominant one that rolled over competition like an 18-wheeler crushing a tin can left on the road.  But just like "Punx"... Tiger came up empty.  And that's bad news for golf enthusiasts.
Count me among those who always thought it was a lock that he'd find it again.  Count me among those who can also separate the enjoyment of watching great golf from poor behavior.  But now it seems like six more weeks of frigid, cold Tiger Woods is a distinct possibility.
How Soon?
The good news is that unlike "Punxsutawney Phil"... Tiger doesn't have to wait another year to come from the hole and search again for that shadow.
In the meantime... we wait.  And we watch guys like Bubba and Jhonny Vegas... who have no reason... at all... to hide.
How about your thoughts..... Love to read them and please, "pass the blog."
